Alec Buchmelter joins Alpha IR, bringing strong Healthcare and Biopharmaceutical IR expertise to the firm
CHICAGO, IL (September 9th, 2022) – Alpha IR Group (“Alpha IR”), the leading independent investor relations consulting firm focused on protecting, enhancing, and building the investment brands of today’s leading U.S listed companies, today announced the expansion of its Healthcare advisory practice with the hiring of Alec Buchmelter as an Assistant Vice President. Mr. Buchmelter brings multiple years of public company healthcare experience to Alpha IR.

Mr. Buchmelter joins Alpha IR following four years with Viatris (formerly Mylan), a global healthcare and pharmaceutical manufacturing company, where Buchmelter served as a member of the investor relations team. In this role he facilitated messaging around the combination of Mylan and Upjohn, a business unit of Pfizer, forming Viatris, corporate rebranding, acquisitions and divestitures, investor days, and the FDA approval and launch of several products. Prior to his role in investor relations, he worked as a member of the finance team at Mylan. He also has investment banking experience with Capstone Headwaters, a middle market investment bank.
