We chose the moniker Alpha as it symbolizes our direct relationship and understanding of our clients’ primary IR stakeholder, the institutional investor. Buy-side investors are said to be “seeking alpha” in their quest to beat the market. In our role as IR consultants we use our research, communication and visibility tools to help our clients better understand and influence Wall Street. What better way to do that than to start with the investor’s primary motivation, the pursuit of alpha.
Alpha IR was founded in early 2012 and has become one of the country’s premiere independent IR and transaction/crisis consultancies. Our leaders have over 100 years of combined buy-side, sell-side, investment banking/services, and IR consulting experience at both large and small agencies. Our founder is the former co-founder of Ashton Partners, which grew from two to 75 consultants over its ten-year history as an independent agency (1997-2007).
