With nearly 30 years in corporate reputation, crisis management and employee engagement roles, Dave believes that the simplicity of word has the power to unite and motivate. To educate and persuade. To inspire commitment and performance. To make good reputations great. And to restore challenged brands as they recover from crises.

Dave has led teams that support major brands like Walmart, McDonald’s, Converse, Innovation Refunds, FHLBank Chicago, RSM and others through issues management & crisis response, employee engagement programming, and corporate reputation counseling. He has briefed and trained c-suite executives to prepare for media interviews, important presentations and other public engagements. Most recently, Dave worked at global PR firm Golin, where he led the agency’s Issue & Crisis team. At Golin, Dave also established the firm’s employee engagement practice and led its Corporate Communications practice at its Chicago HQ office. He previously led teams at Hill + Knowlton Strategies and the Kemper Insurance Companies after starting his career as a newspaper journalist in suburban Chicago.

Dave holds a Master of Arts in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois at Springfield, where he also interned covering state government for the Associated Press. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Print Journalism from Northern Illinois University.
