Tim Peters is a Partner in Alpha Advisory Group (AAG) and brings more than 25 years of reputation, issues management and public affairs experience to bear in helping companies and senior executives build, strengthen, and sustain their reputations.
Tim has led communications and public affairs strategies for clients in the food, agriculture, energy, manufacturing, chemical, healthcare, and financial sectors. He has led teams for McDonald’s, CME Group, NextEra Energy, Cargill, Dow Chemical, Syngenta, CF Industries and others through corporate reputation, issues management, crisis response, employee engagement, and other brand transformational moments.
Prior to joining AAG, Tim served as the U.S. Corporate Practice Leader at Golin and Executive Vice President Corporate Practice at Edelman, two of the world’s largest and most celebrated public relations firms. He also served in U.S. and global communications and public affairs roles at McDonald’s, where he was responsible for issues management strategies for the brand. Before joining McDonald’s, Tim spent nearly seven years in legislative and political roles for three different members of Congress and a congressional advisory committee in Washington, D.C. He has experience in managing legislative and policy issues in the areas of food, agriculture, energy, international trade, and transportation and infrastructure.
Tim is a graduate of the University of Illinois and Kansas State University and holds degrees in secondary education and economics. He lives in Oak Park with his wife and three children.
